10th of May
We were going to meet Slava and Masha at the airport in Paris but didnt find them.
After walking around with a Swedish flag on the airplane Rickard finally found them. They had been looking as much after us.

11th of May
We are now, after 18 h of travelling, in Durban. We have been devided into 4 host families. Me and Erik are staing at Mike Thomson, that are a reseller of TATA (indian car brand). He and his wife live in a very nice area. There are plamtrees and green-stuff everywhere, besides a beautiful view of Durban. We have to have a net at the door so the monkies wont get in to the house.
In an hour will do our first presentation at the local Rotary club and then will do Durban by night.
Some obeservations:
Durban is very green and have a lot of tourist stuff.
Waves here are big
People drive on the "wrong" side and there is a lot of traffic.
First inpression of the people is that them act like brittish people and they are not so formal.
Temperature = 24 C
Weather = Sunny with some small clouds |
12th of May
uShaka - the marin world of South Africa (an aquarium)
Emma almost got bitten by a shark.
When to Balito, on the coast. Meet som of the outgoing GSE team.
Stayed on the beach front i a appartement.

13th of May
Meet the rest of the GSE team.
Spend the day on the beach to get to know eachother.
Went on a nice barbaque at a rotarians house. A lot of people.

14th
Day on the beach.
Had a meeting with the South African GSE-team to go thro eachothers presentations. |
15th of May
Got to Richards bay in the afternoon. Saw som wild crocodiles.
Spend the afternoon with our host families:

Nico and Thelma

Had a presentation in the evening. |
16th of May
Last day in Richards bay.
Visit the the "Richards bay mineral" company. Got to know the process of how to get mineral out of the ground.
When on a djungle tour.
Three of us got an upset stomach.
Reached the beach and got cought by some authourity for drivning on the beach.
Some of us when snorkling.
Had a barbaque and had lots of saugages.
Went back to our houses in a jeep without roof. It was very nice to hear all the people laughing in the villages.
